#28 - Infinity Will Break Your Brain
EPISODE #28
For the first time on When We Die Talks, you can either listen to the episode as usual or watch the full conversation on YouTube. The video version is just the call itself. no intro, outro, or music. But, it’s a new way to experience the podcast.
This week’s anonymous call comes with a twist: it’s the first one I’ve recorded with someone I already know. Normally, I have no idea who I’ll be talking to until the call begins, but this time it’s a close friend who was willing to step into the format. Her perspective brings a different kind of intimacy and openness to the conversation — and I think you’ll hear that right away.
From there, we move from the deeply personal to the truly cosmic. She shares the heart-shaped signs she still notices from her grandmother, her hopes for what happens when we die, and why dogs may be the cruelest reminder of mortality. Then we zoom out into the big, ungraspable questions — eternity, infinity, time, space, and even nothingness. Along the way, the conversation touches on everything from the Pillars of Creation to the parallels between Jesus and Buddha, all with a mix of honesty, curiosity, and humor.
